A few thoughts...it's always going to be hard to find a soul mate, particularly if you are highly intelligent. The bell curve is not your friend here. Medium is stark evidence of this, it attracts people who want to be writers, a promising demographic, and yet many of them aren't particularly good thinkers.

A dog will often add joy to your life, if you don't have the time or space in your home for a full time dog there are often opportunities at your local shelter to volunteer play time, walking time, socialization time.

Time spent outside in natural settings can add joy, particularly if it's part of exercise like walking. Finding a beautiful quiet natural place to sit and dissolve your person into the flow around you can reset your senses and connections with things larger than yourself.

Service to others can open the doors to meaning, to happiness. In this hard time there are always people who can use your help. Finding a way to help is a powerful tonic, for you;) Hope things are improving!
