A massive army of straw men you have assembled above. No doubt most sane and responsible people have also entertained the occasional wish that the Covid scofflaws would contract the disease and have dire consequences. The fact that those scofflaws have exposed the entire country to heightened risk from a debilitating and deadly disease is bound to cause both pushback and hostility. The course the government has taken, pleading, coaxing, bribing, and mandating that people get vaccinated is the ONLY route out of this hazardous mess, and it shows just how self destructive a large portion of the country has become that they now seek disease and death as a political strategy.
