Actually we held many real polls, they’re otherwise known as elections. In the primaries Sen. Sanders never did better than 34%, in his “own” party’s contests. Have to put the “own” in scare quotes because the senator is not Democrat and only the Democratic Party’s commitment to inclusion and fair play granted him a place on the ballot. Had he wanted to run as a Republican he would have been SOL.

When the rest of the moderate Dems cleared the field he got crushed, not exactly a harbinger of electability when you can’t command your “own” party. In any case it seems clear that Russia wanted Trump to be elected both times, and the fact that they took shots at Biden and not at Sanders certainly would cause a raised eyebrow at the least;)
