You say that the decision of Russia's formerly occupied and oppressed neighbor states to join a DEFENSIVE alliance so as to avoid future attacks from Russia, future oppressive domination that resemble their past domination and oppression from Russia, is justification for Russia attacking Ukraine.

This does not pass logical scrutiny, ethical scrutiny, or practical scrutiny.

As former victims of Russian criminality they have EVERY right to defend themselves against stated Russian ambitions to return to its criminal past. They have EVERY right to ally with THEIR neighbors to present a united front to protect their values, their national sovereignty, their rights and freedoms, all of which Russia has compromised in the past.

Their making these alliances, which is TOTALLY within their rights, justifies not a single aggressive Russian act.
