Anybody else hate the substitution of "around" for "about"? I would pay more attention to research about possible fraud in mail voting than I would in research around mail in voting. Holding a discussion around the topic of racism just seems like a dodge, I' perfectly comfortable talking about racism. And why do so many people add "y" to nouns like competence? Competency is a redundant term; nobody says intellingency.
