As long as their criminal and corrupt autocracies remain in power, "good news" for Russia and China is very bad news for Russians and Chinese, as well as other people across the globe who dream of honest and legitimate governance in their own lives.

putin and Xi have only genocide, kleptocracy ,and brutal suppression of all human freedoms and rights to offer, and as problematic as western financial systems have proved to be, they are lightyears more supportive of the desires of most people.

Chinese economic growth and power is perched on the edge of a cliff, and the rule of the VERY few will push it over sooner or later. Russia is a dead letter, as is every autocratic petro state (Saudi Arabia for one), the renewable and sustainable energy revolution is as much an actual revolution for the "masses" as Russia's and China's were obscene and deadly con jobs.
