Been looking into MMT recently. I find the definition of money in your linked MMT site to be interesting in that it doesn’t mention the basic function of money. That function? To be a medium of exchange for goods and services. Without such a medium modern economies are not possible. Certainly money is also a unit of measurement, of value, but only as the symbolic measure of that value in a trade. Thoughts?
