Different moniker, same victim narrative. Hard to see how the Times piece could have been more wrong but it did point out some awkward truths about the Sanders campaign. His only 2020 path to the nomination was to have all the moderates stay in the race and divide up the majority wing of the Democratic Party. Then his steady 25% or so of dedicated supporters could keep him racking up delegates and he could hope to win a brokered convention. Didn't go that way of course, the moderate candidates were not going to leave that path open forever and after Biden crushed it in North Carolina they all of course dropped out and endorsed him.

No fix was needed, no calls would have changed that outcome, all the candidates could count, a critical skill in politics.
