First, I would like to ban you from the use of the word “we”. “We” chose very few of the social/economic trends you describe. The political and ideological forces that have pushed them are complex, people (we) disagree on the validity and efficacy of the trends, and ideological fights that are unconnected to economics often drive the ultimate political outcomes. Would also like to see some acknowledgement of the global lift out of poverty for billions of people that has at least coincided with “neo-liberal” policies. I put the term in quotes because it is so overused, inexactly used, and the root of many weird conspiracy theories now slopping around.
