Having never had a partner that wasn't a pretty big settle, the answer for me is a huge no. I made a promise to myself when I was too young to make that kind of commitment...I swore that I would find someone who I could actually talk to about things that interested me. Turns out there aren't that many of those, and none so far who returned my feelings, and sex with someone who could not "get me" always made me feel guilty. Sex creates feelings, connections, and breaking those off creates a lot of pain, more than I have ever been comfortable setting up another person for. Be careful what promises you make to yourself, particularly when you are young and know everything.
