How We Subsidize Disease

It started for me when I qualified for an Obamacare insurance plan. Prior to the ACA I paid my exorbitant, high deductible individual market premiums and avoided the doctors who wanted cash on the barrel head to see me, let alone treat me. This sort of worked; my carpentry work and my sports kept me fit, I had a pretty good handle on healthy eating (I thought), and I kept broken bones and lacerations to a minimum.
