I agree with most of that...I do think that the strongest influences on this President are the members of his administration, most of whom could make more money in the private sector but choose to work in politics because they want to make a difference on critical issues like climate change, personal rights and freedoms, and building paths for most Americans to better prosperity and security.

Recently I became acquainted with the chair person of our State Democratic Party. She is thoroughly informed both on our national history and current events, a staunch progressive, and the last time I talked to her, a Biden supporter. I think we both wish he would step down and clear the path for a younger candidate. As much as I have been pleased with his successes in shifting policy in critical directions I think his appearance really hurts his chances against trump and thus puts us all at risk.
