I didn't ask you what you thought the guy you kick around so much should do, I asked you what YOU will do. Do you read, or are you just here for the condescension? No, I don't call you names, characterize your maturity, and I have been frustrated with liberals since the 60's. Still, I like to deal in the real world.

In the real world and in a record turnout election nearly half voted for the anti-socialist shit sandwich. In the real world the only way that Biden will do any progressive legislating will be to win two senate seats in Georgia and then convince a couple of Blue Dogs to vote out the filibuster. In the real world there's a lot to be said for a president who will reverse the Trump de-regulation onslaught and re-start U.S. climate action. There's a lot to be said for re-entering Paris, the JCCPA, for attacking the pandemic so that you can relax a little at work and I can maybe take my 98 year old dad out fishing one more time before he dies.

So what I'm going to do is to continue to look for accuracy and fairness on my "side" of the divide, so that my "side" doesn't look just as dishonest and compromised as the other side does. I'm going to continue to ask my side not to get cynical and nihilist, not to check out when they don't get their way, and of course I'm going to talk to both sides like they are people...some are actually my friends.
