I don't doubt that, just as I know that "forest management experts" have been steering the discussion of forest health and wildfire vulnerability towards easy blame scapegoats.
I would love to see a practical "forest management" plan that was scalable beyond the development/wildland interface, and of course a funding and labor source for that plan.
You simply CAN'T cut your way out of fire vulnerability on any large scale...cutting is what largely caused the problem, and when you remove trees, brush, or other fuel sources something else that is more flammable grows right back in a dryer, hotter landscape.
