I don't think this topic is all that important. Relative growth in GDP isn't important to most people beyond a certain and relatively low level. Far more important is relative equality, relative opportunity, personal and family security, and social connection. Simply serving the idea of growth for its own sake does not serve the point of that growth...a healthy and happy society.
