I guess I would have to see the statement I made that you think is sexist to respond to this. Nowhere do I say, or even hint that working in the home isn’t work. My observation was that a different standard, a sexist standard is applied to men in the area of relationship worth. I do know that men face a different standard of personal judgement and worth than do women. A young healthy man without professional status or prospects is not generally regarded as a “good catch”, a young woman may well be.

The primary expectation for a man is still to contribute financially, his attractiveness and “worth” is judged on his ability to do so. This is not true for a woman. I suspect these standards are changing, will have to change given that our economy is skewing towards skills at which women are generally stronger.
