I remember seeing Isaac Hayes in SF, maybe Winterland, around the time of Walk On By...they go through the long psychedelic instrumental buildup and then blasted the spotlights on three sequin dressed female backup singers going "walk on by". Blew a lot of hippie minds and did the best set of the night.

Hard to beat the Paul Butterfield Band though, which spawned Steve Miller, Boz Skaggs, and Elvin Bishop in rapid succession. Very fortunate to be there!
