If you call absolutely no chance their best chance, then I agree. Your logic doesn't meet either history or basic logic. Israel GAVE Gaza to the Palestinians and used military force to remove recalcitrant Israelis who didn't want to give that land up. Ever since Hamas has taken control of the ceded territory they have used it to attack Israel, in furtherance of their existential goal, the destruction of Israel. The blockade is TWO sided, both Egypt and Israel have maintained their ends, and for much the same reason. Neither will accept Hamas until it abandons its goal of destroying Israel, and Egypt wants to keep Hamas and their radical movement isolated just as much as Israel does.

The politics of this conflict are as tangled as a box of old ear buds but one thing is clear, Israeli will never deal openly with Hamas unless and until Hamas agrees to Israel's right to exist, and it's not likely that Hamas will ever do that.

Netanyahu's singular goal is to take the West Bank, and as much as Israelis disliked him before the Hamas attack they now support the goal of wiping Hamas out, even if they want to get rid of Netanyahu and his coalition. After this attack there is NO Israeli support for a Palestinian state on the West bank, which they have every legitimate reason to believe will be used as another attack platform.

No clean hands among those in power on both (all) sides and much hunger for bloodshed and revenge. The Hamas goal to sink a two state solution is realized, the Iranian goal to sink the Abrahamic Accords between the Sunni states of the region and Israel is realized, Bibi's goal to sink a two state solution is realized, and both Israelis and Palestinians who just want peace are thwarted. It's lazy not to see that.
