I'm very short (5'5"), so I know from long and sometimes painful experience how much "not measuring up" can cost, monetarily, in respect, in judgement from the opposite sex. I wonder how much pain I would have undergone to be just 2 inches taller, given that most American women's "rule out" height is below 5'7". Probably none. I have a great body that has served me well, and I'm willing to invest money, time and pain to repair the accumulated damage of many active decades, would never be willing to risk harming its functionality to better fit someone else's standards of male beauty. Take care and remember how well your body serves you;)
