In what universe are we assisting Ukraine because they are the "good guys" in this war? Russia launched an unprovoked and hugely brutal war against Ukraine, nobody in Europe, nobody in the civilizing world wants this to be accepted behavior. Allowing such wars of conquest is a one-way ticket to world war, possibly to a nuclear holocaust. Not stopping putin now is directly analogous to not stopping Hitler in '39. Human rights problems in Ukraine can be addressed when their cities aren't being shelled into rubble.
