It's perfectly acceptable to discriminate against short men...so acceptable that its a standard convention in movies and TV. An "unsuitable" suitor is routinely played by a short guy, as is a wimpy, clueless, pushy or annoying character.

The reduction in salary by height is literally measurable by the inch, and great looking short actors like Tom Cruise and Robert Redford routinely stand on "apple boxes" when the kiss scene is shot;)
