It's possible that she will enjoy privileges that neither of you have. When I was young, women with the top credentials (Ruth Bader Ginsberg) couldn't even get a job interview, black people couldn't get a mortgage on our side of the freeway, and LBGTQ people guarded their true identities as if their lives depended on it, which they did.

Things have been steadily changing towards more freedom, more equality, more justice, and I don't see that trend changing. Today's young people will do amazing things.
