Lauren, you have taken leave of your senses. Possibly this is a grief reaction and I sympathize. From the comments below it’s obvious that many people share your feelings. Senator Sanders was never “primed to be the presumptive nominee”. His one clear victory in Nevada fell well short of the majority of votes cast, and that was in a caucus process that heavily favored him, both because of his huge lead in money raising and because caucuses always favor candidates with fervent political supporters.

In the first two contests he averaged 25% of the vote while the various “moderate” candidates totaled over 60%. His basic strategy depended on them splitting the moderate vote several ways, allowing him to hang in with a plurality of delegates until the convention where he hoped to win on a second or third ballot. Only a month or so ago you were declaring that the candidate with the most delegates should win the nomination, even if that total was less than a majority, a tacit acknowledgement of Sanders’ strategy.

You may not like it but the moderate wing of the Democratic Party, most emphatically including voters of color, did not have confidence in Sanders and powerfully coalesced around Biden as the alternative. This is reality, and those voters had every opportunity to listen to all the candidates as well as the privacy of the voting booth to make their decision. All your blaming and conspiracy theorizing just makes you look like a sore loser who is willing to lash out at anyone who doesn’t toe your ideological line.
