Let's get this out of the way right up front; Joe Manchin's politics are entirely irrelevant to the president's progressive goals. The only relevant political calculation about the W. Virginia senator is the number 50. If Sen. Manchin does NOT hold his seat representing ruby red W. Virginia then Mitch McConnell is the Senate leader and the progressive agenda DIES, at least until Dems manage to flip other red senate seats.

I don't want to hear any nonsense that he is actually a Republican, it couldn't matter less, that is unless you love Republican obstructionism. If you DO love Republican obstructionism then by all means, go after Joe Manchin.
