Nice article. I've seen recent research that suggests a 5/2 fasting strategy can improve metabolic markers like blood sugar, blood lipids and insulin resistance while also facilitating weight loss. 5/2 consists of restricting calories two days out of the week, somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/3 of normal calories. Dr. Gil Carvahlo on YouTube (Nutrition Made Simple) examines this research;)
