No faith Ryan? Oh well;) I guess I will have to take your unsupportable claim about pre-agrarian peoples on faith. Personally, I think there were probably many features of pre-agrarian life that were more fulfilling in some ways than even “the lives of the rich and famous” today. No way of really knowing of course, my example may be anecdotal, yours is speculative. Let’s go back to the source of this discussion, Umair’s claim about the hopeless toxicity of Capitalism. Pretty easy for someone who benefits from but barely participates in our market economy to demonize that economy, just as it’s very easy to make villains out of unspecified “Big Corporations” and completely ignore the devastating consequences for much of humanity should they all be suddenly “raptured” into the heavens. You will note that Umair never suggests fixes or replacements for his evil Capitalism.
