Right on topic... 60 years ago when Malcolm spoke these words. Doubtful that anyone would ever have heard of him of course had he not been busted for running a burglary ring and incarcerated. Had he remained free AND survived the immediate threats to his life at the time it's far more likely that he would have ended up like West Indian Archie.
It doesn't honor his legacy to use his words to promote a conspiracy theory/ex post facto attempt to cancel the 13th Amendment. Lincoln used both political genius and strong arm tactics to ram this through a reluctant Congress. Had he not been assassinated, our history of the reconstruction years and the reimposition of brutal white supremacy in the South would likely be very different, just as our modern history of the human rights struggle would look very different had Malcolm, Dr. King, and RFK not been killed.
