One of the many things in life where pride is entirely misplaced. We did nothing to earn or deserve the conditions into which we were born, not skin color or social class or inherent talents...these were given to us and merit zero pride.

Possible to take a little pride in what we do with our lot in life, but even that is suspect and easily snatched away.
