One way to make home workouts easier is to do hobbies and useful chores. I've taken up hand tool woodworking, lots of pushing planes and saws, turning hand drills, and fun too. Some people love to garden, there are home improvement projects. Time spent active on your feet is every bit as good as gym workouts, probably better given the more whole body nature, and you get the benefits of creating beautiful and useful things, spaces.
