Ridiculous... solar panels reduce the heat collected by roofing materials in most cases, lowering the energy needed to cool the structure underneath and providing some if not all of the energy needed for that cooling. My house is TOTALLY cooled by my solar panels, and I still feed electricity back into the grid to cool my neighbor's houses as well.
