Sharing what is interesting or important is KEY to a feeling of intimacy for many men, possibly for many people in general. The things that ignite our passions are so often dismissed by others and we learn to keep them to ourselves. When somebody can show an honest interest, even just because they love us, this is an IMMENSE personal validation, not only that we are actually seen but also that the things close to our heart are valid and by extension, our hearts are valid.
