So long as we understand that there is little to no evidence of significant “race” linked genetic traits outside of those of physical appearance, that perceptions of such traits are not only “very much a product of the beholder’s lived experiences and exposures” but also almost certainly mistaken. Absolutely agree about the effect of institutional racism on the decisions made among the powerful, an effect also common among everyday people making decisions on hiring, renting, school discipline, policing in the community…so many personal daily effects in people’s lives.
