Some good points there, fit and muscular is a lot more fun and probably more healthy than doughy and soft. If you're in it for the long haul however you have to pay attention to overuse injury and osteo-arthritis...wearing out your joints, which is no fun at all, take it from an old jock. A worthwhile read is Dr. Jason Fung's The Obesity Code; intermittent fasting helped me turn my health around after a long, muscular and very active life.
