Sorry, showing my prejudice. On the standard bell curve representations of IQ half of scores are by definition below 100. The majority of people fall pretty close to 100, just the nature of a bell curve, but as many as 20% are significantly below that average. From my perspective the average person isn't very smart, probably incapable of critical thought...election results certainly seem to bear this out;)
