Sorry, this is mostly self delusional bunk. Joe Biden is a man of the times, and the current times among Democrats are strongly progressive. The examples of Biden's willingness to work across the aisle come from different times, times before Rush and Gingrich transformed U.S. politics into a blood sport, times when collegiality was the standard in the halls of Congress.

Realities of Senate procedure make revolutionary changes truly black swan events, and changing those rules will just make it easy to reverse such changes passed on a simple majority vote. There's no love lost between Biden and the current crop of Trump captured Republicans, and as with Obama, Biden will only be able to go as far as the solid support of progressive voters demands. These voters took a vacation when Obama needed them most, hopefully they will turn out this time, both in November and in 2022.
