The more you stick to a whole food plant based diet. the less you have to agonize and struggle. Instead of eating anything that is calorie dense you can stuff yourself with veggies made delicious with a rainbow of spices, which are fantastic for metabolic health, and be both calorie restricted and sated, satisfied. Be suspicious of shakes or supplements, which by law are not regulated, not monitored for contents, and far less able to provide bio-active nutrients than are the plants they are supposedly derived from. I say supposedly because a majority of supplements do NOT contain the claimed ingredients.
