The single worst idea for positive social/political change is revolution. I challenge you to name a single revolution that didn't end in bloodshed, chaos, and eventual or immediate dictatorship. Easy to point out the many shortcomings of our country, easy for the young to have no concept of the positive changes over the last several decades. I've been a young "revolutionary", I've grown up since then.
