There is no genocide going on in Gaza...Israel has a hundred more times the force needed for genocide, if that was their intent. I am skeptical of every casualty report coming out of Gaza, though I have no doubt that thousands have died. These reports must pass the scrutiny of men who attacked civilian Israelis with the intent of committing such horrific atrocities that Israel would be goaded into an overreaction, causing a large number of Gazan civilian casualties. Knowing that they can't defeat the Israeli forces, Hamas has concentrated on placing civilians in harm's way and there's little doubt that they celebrate every civilian casualty, given that their intent was to cause those casualties.
The intent of Iran, their facilitators and suppliers, was to blow up the war pact between Israel,
Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. which was aimed directly at the throats of the Ayatollahs. Mission accomplished at this point.
So long as the Likud holds power there is no prospect for a solution in Israel/Palestine...likewise so long as Hamas exists. In either case, the empowered extremists just find it too easy to blow up accord between the long suffering people in this tiny corner of the world, as Begin and
Sadat tragically found out after the Camp David Accords.
Some problems have few, if any, solutions.
