There's a reason why we study sentence structure in English 101. "How a Computer Predicted the End of Humanity in 1973" has one obvious meaning... that a computer predicted that humanity would end in 1973. I put the correct wording in my original comment. You'll note that ten people understood my comment and clapped;)
