They were actually brothers in arms, he was 88th Div. 350 Regiment, 5th Army.Thanks for the read and comment; there’s a lot I didn’t tell about what fighting a war does to a person. We have been effected by that war through our dads, probably some positive effects along with the negative. I knew I came from tough stock and expected much from myself, living up to a hero can spur you on. But my grandma told me that he was never the same and she was rarely wrong. He was hugely fortunate to meet Pat and in many ways be healed.
