This is an interesting double standard. Our culture is full of stories of "him" pursuing his love in the face of indifference, even resistance, but for "her" it's a bad idea;) I definitely agree, if he wanted to he would, gonna put a crimp in a lot of RomComs if it applies in the reverse.
