This is basically a government problem. The produces simply won’t address the advantages they get by shirking the recycling/disposal costs of their products unless forced to by regulation or consumer pressure. Consumers are already hard pressed between flat wages and rising housing, medical, educational, family care costs. Without help on wages on the one side or cost of living expenses on the other they will continue to seek short term price advantages over long term sustainability.
