What a bunch of hooey. Did you get your free Covid vaccine? I sure did, and not just to protect myself. Do you have friends who work in an intensive care units, hearing time and again "I didn't think it was real" from people suffering and dying on their watch? I do, and believe me they don't just do this brutal and draining work just for the money.

I agree, far too many Americans are no longer able to understand the concept of the common good. A whole lot of others, including people in politics do.

Of course billionaire business people should pay more taxes, there's legislation now before congress to do just that and with a fair possibility of passing. I couldn't care less what motivations Bezos or Musk have to build their space programs, I do know they are doing it orders of magnitude cheaper and faster than the government would do with your tax dollars. You ought to ask yourself WHY NASA hasn't "done it", why their design and build process is so incredibly slow, expensive, and timid.
