What would make you think that emotions are non-physical? Brain imaging can show the areas that activate during emotions, biochemists have isolated many of the neuro-chemicals that stimulate emotional responses, brain injuries that damage the known areas involved in particular emotions alter or eliminate those emotions for the individual with the injury. You would have to describe what you mean by the term “non-physical emotions” for me to have an idea what we are discussing. We have solid evidence that other animals experience a rich range of emotions which gives us powerful clues from where our own emotional nature evolved. What has never been shown is an emotional experience that happens anywhere else but in the brain, by neuro-chemical actions, in identifiable areas.
