You know Ken, you are never on solid logical ground when you attempt to declare what I would do. You simply don’t know, and you simply can’t know. I often don’t know myself. In this case though I have a pretty good idea. I don’t particularly like Sanders. I think he is in many ways dishonest or self deceiving. But if he had found a way to the nomination I would have backed him just as actively as I did Obama in ’12, including if necessary weekly road trips to another state to knock doors and hours spent at phone banks.

Why don’t I like Sanders? Well, besides his constant negativism and hollering, I think that he minimizes the inherent problems with his proposals and sets his followers up for bitter disappointments, much the way that the Tea Party candidates did for their fervent followers.

The “Freedom Caucus” candidates and members of Congress made a lot of big promises, very few of which they could back up with results. In some cases their voters got cynical and dropped out of political activism, in other cases those voters nominated candidates that lost very winnable elections.

Biden was far from my first choice, as was Sanders. I don’t get to decide who wins the nomination. I do get to decide who I won’t slime, who I will work for in this crucial election. It’s really that simple.
