Why? And when exactly was the U.S, "at the heights of its power"? At the height of the Cold War when we nearly stumbled into Armageddon more than once? Bogged down in Vietnam while killing millions in secret bombings? Maybe it was during "stagflation" when the factories started to crumble, or when Reagan was "projecting power" by helping one tin pot dictator after another to suppress the democratic yearnings of his population. Joe's doing great, particularly given the madness into which so many in the country have descended, just very sad he has to dodge so much knee capping from "the left" ,who seem to see self destruction as a sport.
